So WE GOT A CALL TO A KOALA UP A TREE WITH TWO DOGS CHASING when we got there we saw two very big ( friendly) Labradors ... barking and jumping up high onto a tree .. as we got to it we saw an absolutely terrified little girl caught by that vine that wraps itself around the swampies just out of reach of the dogs.... she couldn't climb up any higher to get away from the dogs because of the vine and there was no way she was coming down.... God knows how long she had been there .... We got the net and extension, put it over her then quickly realized that, that lovely vine was going to stop us from getting her down.... Thank goodness I keep a set of extendable cutters in my boot..( you might never know when you might come across some good leaf)... so after cutting the vine we both grabbed her kicking and biting ..... we tried to get her into the basket but at the same time had to push the two dogs away with our feet.. .... Got HER in, covered her up and she stopped fighting.. Poor girl must have thought we were pulling her down to give back to the dogs..... Ohhhh my heart breaks thinking about it...... We thanked the man for ringing us .. When we got her home she was covered in dog slobber and sand ... So there she said still terrified in the basket.. Humans touching her now.. I only had a quick look to see if I could see any puncture wounds or blood then we left her in our dark bedroom .. no noise till we took her to Don.. he checked her and couldn't see any obvious wounds ... He was, however worried about her right hand ? nerve injury... So observations for now and a transfer to simones fran
