BOBBI 30/6/2012

Last night at 6.15pm Simone & Steve rescued a little female on Port Stephens Dr, near Horizons golf club Fence. Simone and family were at her parents having dinner and as they were ready to leave she received a call from a friend reporting the koala hit on the side of the road. They were at the scene in a few minutes and there were people there keeping an eye on her even the lady that hit her. Which is nice for a change. As Simone was about to rescue her she decided to make a dash for the golf course so Simone had to chase her. She got her with a few growls and a little attempt at a bite, just in case Simone didn’t hear the growl. She is a 6.3kg female with no chip, . She appears to have been very lucky with small grazes to he right eye, nose and left knee. She has eaten well overnight, but pellets are irregular and some a bit dry. Simone will try and get her to Don NOAHS ARK VET in the morning, but I think she will only be in for a week or until the grazes look better. Her pouch is empty, and she let me look at her teeth last night and she appears to be very young. Cheers Sue

Miss Bobbi was very obliging and allowed me to get her out of the cot and to
Don NOAHS ARK VET with not a hiccup. She was a model patient until Don had to check her
teeth!!!
Bobbi has come off not to worse for wear after her Saturday night
antics on port stephens drive. A grazed nose and some bark off her inner thigh. We are
just treating with the magic Silvazine cream and Don is happy to have her in to
see him for a microchip on Friday. The wounds already have lost that fresh
look. It was also discovered that she has an irregular heart beat that is of
no concern. I also witnessed the miracle of Nicolli this afternoon. Nicolli in/
pellets out! lol
So here's to the next photos... Bobbi's release!!!! Cheers
