6/4/2013 CLIVIA

Hi Guy's, got a call from Annie at 6.30am this morning. Robyn
Williams and
another lady had seen a koala limping along the side of P/S Dr
near Trade
Circuit, they stopped and wrapped it in a rug and called Annie,
just in time
to prevent her being hit by a car that came flying past.Annie
had already
sent Clive to pick it up and bring it to me. So all I had to do
was put the
kettle on and wait.
She is a 6.63kg (very old by the looks of her) female
with no chip.
She has no apparent injuries anywhere. Her coat is brown and
very dry and
she has bones sticking out everywhere. I have put her in the
cage at lunch
time for a mobility test and she climbed straight up and ate
and is at
present trying to rip the cage apart. She had enormous pellets in the basket
and did a huge wee as soon as she was out of the basket. I
haven't seen her
walk but her climbing is perfect with no sign of her
favouring any limbs. I
think she maybe an old lady with a bit of arthritis
in the back end and was
very lucky that these lovely ladies stopped and got
her off the road. So she
has an appOINTMENT with Don NOAHS ARK VET on Monday for a check and
probably a chip and hopefully
release. Cheers Sue
