Small grunt as we put her in the basket...Microchip... Miss Marion .. the young couple who ran us were sooooo excited.... Got her home ... OMG ... this was/is one very feisty girl... hard to take photos as you can see she had control of the basket lid... FRAN

Hi Guy’s. Maid Marion as June & Doug will remember was a little hell fire when they rescued her in Oct. I chipped her on a Sunday morning with Noel trying to restrain her and yelling at me to “HURRY UP!” She has a really good left hook and is not afraid to use it. She has decided that if there is anything in her pouch it is none of my business, and I agree totally.
Well she came in with the same attitude this time and Noel and I had a bugger of a job getting her out of the cage as she decided to hang underneath the logs. She did a huge wee overnight and tons of pellets, trashed the cage and ate heaps. So off we go to see Uncle Don, take the lid off and there she is holding her bitey with one of the side cushions balanced on her head. Don checked her teeth and she is VERY young. He had a good look at her left eye and said it was a stick injury that had caused the lens to move forward and rest against the inside of her cornea forming a cataract. He said the injury was stable and required no treatment and she could be released (phew). He also said that she probably had little sight in that eye and would only be able to tell light from dark. I released her at the end of Worimi Dr and she took off up the tree like a rocket and leaped half way up, so obviously not handicapped by having one eye. Sue

MARION 16/10/2012

June & Doug to the rescue of one very cranky
little monster. She was in a small Gravillea on the side of Sandy Point Rd
Corlette, She needed to be relocated because the traffic was about to get
very busy and she was not in a safe place at all. She was thrashing in the
basket and while we were trying to get a look at her she was throwing
punches and threatening to leap out of the basket. And wouldn't you know it
she had no chip! We let her settle as much as she was prepared to ( which
was hardly at all) while she ate her head off. . She weighed 6.4kg very
healthy and very hungry. June has called her Marion after the lady who
called in and we don't have a Marion so even better. Doug & June
