Annie got her first koala for her new cage this afternoon.
Anybody would have thought I had given her a million bucks!! This little
female was rescued by Noel out of a pine tree above a dog kennel on Gan Gan
Rd opp the 4WD access to Stockton beach. She is being kept in because she
appeared to have a dirty bottom. But it might not be Chlamydia as she seems
to have soft poo stuck to her bottom. They all seem to have soft pellets at
the moment, maybe due to the flush of new shoots on all the trees at the
moment. You know what they say about too much of a good thing!! She will go
to the vet on Monday and by then we should know more from observing her. She
did a small wee when she climbed out of the basket onto her logs so that is
promising.
