Well this beautiful boy is still
with us ... he is being tolerant with us but as you can imagine cant work out
what is going on ... why he has that thing holding his ear down .... why he
cant eat...... and where on earth is he ...... Rebecca has a few scratch marks
when he throws his arms around but it is not in aggression ... more confusion
...
He does smell awful ..... We
took him for a mobility test this evening he has another wound on his Left inside leg
that is leaking pus .... He is unable to put much weight on this leg.... god
knows what is going on there ..... muscle tendon ...It is really, really sore
to touch, so pink stuff will have to do till Monday.... If he is strong enough
I think Don NOAHS ARK VET will have to at least sedate him so we can give him a good going
over....

It is with a heavy heart I write
this .... for those that do not know Monty was euthanatized this afternoon ...
Don was to debride his wounds. We did get his temp down and flush what wounds we could find but as
it turns out it was not enough ..... Don had to lift his scalp to debride the
head wounds and found that there was DEAD tissue all down the left side of
his head/ face and neck ... there were puncture marks all over his chin area
... Don said that they has been munching on it ... When I said but he was a
9.3kg koala Don said they would have got him down first and by the time they
did this he would have just given up .... POOR BOY ... he would have to remove all the muscle
along the side of his face ... he would not be able to eat, he would
consistently dribble... he would slowly die in front of us ....
OMG... he was a gentle ,
tolerant boy... put up with us prodding and poking him .... He didn't deserve
this ..... Don didn't even bother to look at his leg as it really made no
difference to the outcome... He had a puncture would we could see on his thigh
but we couldn't find the one on his inner thigh... it was much too sore for us
to touch ... we thought Don would find it today ..... I am sure it would be the
same as his head....
I can only hope that you RIP
with no more pain ... thank god we didn't hold back on the pain relief
