The koala was in Roy Wood Reserve at the Corlette end of Foreshore Dr, in a pine tree with lots of traffic whizzing by and not able to get back into Mambo across the road .
When we got there he was in a different and bigger tree but was obviously intending to attempt to cross the road as he kept coming down. .
He was a beautiful big boy with a chip. It was Morley!! First rescued by me 11/10/07 running up the middle of a road in Corlette. He was a sub adult then weighing 4kg.He was rescued again on 23/11/07 by Kathy & Roger off the back of a yacht in Corlette (that’s right a yacht). Today he was only in the basket about 20 mins and relocated at the end of Worimi Dr, his usual jumping off point.

This morning, early I was called to a koala hit on Foreshore Dr Corlette.
The poor little guy had walked the length of the concrete barrier and had almost made it to the bush when he was hit by a car. He had a microchip and his name was Morley.
He had a bit of a history and has got himself into strife a couple of times.
*I first rescued him in Oct ’02 as a little 4kg juvenile running up the middle of the road in Corlette, *again in Oct ’03 doing something similar. Both times he just needed a relocate to somewhere safe. *Then the next year Roger Yeo got him off the back of a yacht moored in Corlette? J
*He wasn’t seen again until Simone & I rescued him about to cross the road near the F#@king concrete barrier on Foreshore this January.
He does/did love the Mambo wetlands and has lived all his life there disease free.
This morning he ran out of luck crossing that road, he weighed 8.4kg, was a huge ball of muscle and in beautiful condition.
I named him after my daughters’ boyfriend who is now her fiancée.
…RIP Morley…
