Hi Everyone. This morning at 11.30am I got a call from the Oaks Pacific
Blue Resort saying that they had a koala in a palm tree. Simone came to help
me along with her two boys. All of them were sick with a cold, so thank you
very much guys. The pool area consists of a couple of hundred palms so it
took a while to find her.  But eventually we did. Simone worked the pole, I
did the catching and young Bailey was in charge of the lid. When I got her into the basket
after a lot of squealing and a good bit of growling, Bailey put the lid on
like a champ! I had just got one strap on the lid when she charged the lid
and was out again, Bailey immediately held the towel up in front of her and
she sat still in a boxers pose with both fists up ready for any one silly
enough to try and grab her. Good work Bailey!!! Anyway, we finally got her
safely in the basket with both straps on and picked some leaf and took her
home. She had no chip and weighed 5.65kg. She was very hungry after
a night in the palm trees and settled after a while except if you looked at
her as you can see by the photos.

Noel, Simone and the boys relocated her at the end of Worimi Dr. I called
her Rachelle.
