TANASH 30/8/2012

Hi Everyone.
Loreto & Ray called to a koala picked up by the nice lady who does the grounds work at Samurai Beach Resort. She saw her sitting on the side of LEMON TREE PASSAGE Rd Salt Ash. She thought she had been hit by a car, so she wrapped her in a shirt and took her home , where she wrapped her in a blanket and put her somewhere quiet (in the shower recess). Loreto & Ray picked her up from her home. The little girl has no obvious signs of MOTOR VEHICLE trauma, but she does have early wet bottom and she will be going into care with Simone.she had no chip so she is now called Tanash from Salt Ash. She is lovely, pellets are good, she is eating well but she does lots of small wees. Cheers Sue

How beautiful is Tanash from Salt Ash? Little darling is sure if she keeps trying, she can find the out button on the cage. Failing that, she will just follow me out the door! Dr Don thinks she is about 6 yrs and yesterday she weighted 6.4kg. She LOVES Lectade but will only eat Robusta. We tried some flowering Scoparia, the nectar almost knocked you out, I love it, she didn't! Sue is bringing some Nicoli, lets see if she can resist the power of Nic!

Hi everyone, little happier this morning. After the visit to Dr Don NOAHS ARK VET yesterday I was really not very hopeful about Tanash. We changed her to Baytril and Tramadol for the pain. She had a great night. She stripped every stick of leaf and I had to do a complete change at midnight and then at 7am. She moved around her cage quite a lot and this morning is bright and hungry. The pain killers seem to be helping. Her ears are up and claws out!! She killed another 2 syringes trying to get brekky. Fingers crossed.

Tanash has been going down hill the last few days, but this morning, well, we have a wee stream!!!! She is popcorning around the cage and says, "let me out"and "I will feed myself". So, off to Dr Don on Friday for a progress ultrasound. We have fingers and toes crossed. Baytril is a 45 day course, so she won't be getting out any time soon. She has also been squealing at me. I have a smile on my face a mile wide!!!!
