_  Taken to Vet... Don Hudson NOAHS ARK VETERINARY SERVICES

She is a 4.9kg Mature adult female (10yrs approx). She was emaciated and dehydrated
when she came into care, and of course she had the conjunctivitis of her
right eye.

_ We also discovered after observing her for a few days that she
was doing lots of small wees, which is a sign of Cystitis or bladder
infection. In koalas this is called Wet Bottom (Chlamydia). This is in it's
early stage and both the eye and the bladder problems can be fixed with
antibiotics. We are lucky to have gotten her now because if she had been
left any longer her condition would have worsened and it would have been
much harder, if not impossible to get her well. Valli is a lovely gentle
girl and very easy to treat

_  Little Valli is doing extremely well, gets extremely excited about her
supplementary feeds What a shame they will eventually stop.

She has finished her antibiotics today and will stop eye ointment tomorrow.
Then it's wait a week to make sure symptoms don't return,  off to the vet for a micro chip and
 the OK to release her.

She is looking at another  8 to 9 days in care. We will put her back in the same tree she was rescued from..
Valli has been a delightful little girl to look after….She is gentle with no complaints, takes everything in her stride and has shown hardly any captive stress.
Just a beautiful koala…

_  The people who helped watch Valli wanted to be there for her release, after contacting them they will not be able to attend… They were so excited  to see her and have her named after the grandmother I am sad they can’t be there for the release as this is the best thing watching them climb back up the tree, back where they belong… healthy.. Photos will have to suffice… ( T/Y for the wonderful donation they gave to HKPS for Valli’s care, much appreciated..)

Valli is off to the vet, Don Hudson today for her microchip..
Looking at releasing her next Thursday about 5.30pm…. one week past clear of Chloramphenical ( antibiotic injection) and Terra( eye ointment).

She started last night trashing the cage… This is a sign that she is feeling better and wants out….

_   Miss Valli went to the vet this morning and DON HUDSON was so
pleased with her recovery he said she could be released immediately.. So she was microchipped.. Taken to Samurai Resort  to release her in the tree from which she was rescued. She
went off beautifully with a couple of hiccups with a pesky vine.
Miss Valli has gained 600grams in care and went out weighing 5.5kg.

She was a lovely gentle girl to care for...

Safe travels Lovely Lady ..... just stay in the resort and you will be fine...
